Copenhagen 短宣每日代禱信 - 8/8/06

Dear Prayer Partners,

Our team arrived at COCM mission center in Milton Keynes, England safely. Many of us had expected the typical gray and foggy weather that is famous in England. But much to the surprise of many team members, we were welcomed with clear and blue skies and a pleasantly cool weather. (The temperature was 55 degree!)

The anticipated long walk from airport to the central bus station with heavy luggage was aided by trolley cars and it turned out to be much easier
than expected.

Praise the lord! He is full of mercy and cares for us. He knows all our needs.

We had a wonderful time catching up with old friends and getting to know new faces. After lunch, Rev. Kam Hung Ho (COCM STM Coordinator) and sister Kaifong Chan (COCM Missionary) prepared a full course of Short term mission training for all.

Rev. Ho originally came from Hong Kong. He has been in COCM for about 20 years. In addition to being the coordinator of Short term missions, he and his wife also take care of 2 Chinese fellowships in Hull and Lincoln. Sister Kaifong works as an itinerant missionary in the European Continent. She travels frequently to Romania, Paris, and Switzerland to help the Chinese Churches there. Our team members were greatly encouraged by observing both missionaries in their care of the small details, their humble attitude in serving the team members, and their patience in teaching us. We are thankful to the Lord for COCM to have such dedicated servants on its missionary team.

The STM training course proved to be very helpful even for those of us old timers. Particularly when we practiced the personal evangelism techniques. We are humbled by our inadequacies and were once again reminded that we must depend on the power of the Holy Spirit rather than our own.

As always, our team will be heavily counting on your constant prayer support back home while we venture forward to the frontline. You are all part of the greater team under the direction of the victorious Commander from high above, our Lord Jesus Christ!

Please pray:

1. Safe journeys while we travel to Copenhagen tomorrow morning.
2. For the Chinese people in Denmark that we will come in contact with, that God will prepare their hearts to receive the good news.
3. For energy and strength since most team members have had little sleep due to traveling yesterday and today.

Serving together in Christ,
COCM STM Copenhagen 2006 Team
